I recently completed the SPPT and I thought it was extremely informative. In fact, I was surprised by how insightful some of the observations are. The analysis seemed to key into certain conclusions about my work-life balance that were not necessarily front-of-mind for me, but felt nonetheless accurate.
For instance, the analysis concluded that some of the high-scoring qualities that make me effective as a professional–such as Self-regulation and Perseverance–may also prevent me from devoting sufficient time to personal projects and self-care.
As somebody who often becomes laser-focused on work to the exclusion of proper breaks, stretching, and scheduled meals, I was pretty impressed that the analysis seemed to identify these tendencies without being explicitly told as much.
I also found the Coaching Report to be particularly useful because it translated these observations into actionable advice for achieving better balance. In this regard, it shows the potential to be a pretty cool career development tool with applications across fields and roles. The observations and advice offered by the Coaching Report were personally insightful enough to be meaningful, but also generic enough to apply with relevance to a host of working situations.
Speaking of which, there were particular sections of the analysis–Working With a Team and Working On One’s Own in particular–that I can see being useful to freelance and independent workers like myself. I can easily see an adapted version of the SPPT that is built for test-takers who fall into this category.
One final observation–the analysis delivered by the SPPT is long and exhaustive. You will receive a number of different reports, and in-depth analysis based on your performance in four unique working situations and across 19 traits. In this regard, I find that the analysis is most valuable not just as a knee-jerk test score aimed at providing a quick-picture analysis of your personality but as something more lasting and encompassing.
There is no oversimplification here (which is a common flaw both with many type-indicator tests and trait-based assessments). Instead, think of your analysis as a comprehensive resource about your strengths and the areas where you might be able to pursue improvement. In other words, I now view my test findings as a valuable reference point in advancing my own professional goals, something I can return to as needed and over time.

As a healthcare executive, I accomplish projects individually and work in a team. I also manage groups of professionals and deal with a ton of people in positions of authority. It’s pretty exciting that Success Portraits offers accurate assessments of my responses in professional settings, allowing me to see if they help or harm my chances of thriving in this industry.
The SPPT says I may be an excellent team member, but my attitude as a leader could be better. I plan on taking this advice to heart!

The Success Portraits Personality Test has given me a fresh perspective of my attitude and behavior at work. I like how some of the challenges I face everyday as a customer service rep were presented as actual situations in this test. The interpretations and assessments of my responses were spot on.
I found the Coaching Report really helpful, too! It seems I excel in team settings but I need to improve my skills in gathering feedback and understand the communication dynamics in my job better.

My Sucess Portraits report says I “set high standards” for myself and my subordinates. As someone who’s responsible for numerous teams in sales, it’s important that I do! I like that my SPPT results confirmed what I always aimed for at work.
Another good thing about the SPPT is that it provides a detailed assessment of my actions at work as an individual, a team member, with my boss, and as a leader. It presents in detail whether a certain action or reaction to situations at work may or may not contribute to improving myself as a professional. I’m confident about this personality test because experts put it together!

Success Portraits is an excellent test that not only assesses your work attitude, but also offers sound advice for your growth as a professional.
I’ve been a patrol officer for many years now and had the chance to meet hundreds, if not thousands of individuals teaching me life lessons. At work, I report to my boss and spend hours with my colleagues both as a leader and as a team member. It’s interesting how SPPT nailed the different encounters and situations in each question. Finding out that I am creative enough to solve complex problems and manage issues at work is a pleasant surprise!
